Burnley and Pendle MG Owners Club

The 17th Pendle Run was held on the 27th July 2008.

Once again we were blessed with excellent weather, the sun shone from Dawn to Dusk.

The run was extremely well supported with 101 cars on station at the appointed hour.

After a leisurely coffee it was off on the run. The route took the cars to Barrowford and then skirted Pendle Hill towards Clitheroe and then on towards The Trough of Bowland. The route took in several villages, including Dunsop Bridge, reputed to be the very centre of England, then on to Slaidburn and Settle. From Settle the cars took to the moors to Kirkby Malham and then back towards home, passing through Gargrave, Thornton in Craven and then returning to The Stone Trough. A round trip of approximately 84 miles.

Happily all starters made it home.

A fine Buffet tea awaited the travellers together with Music from "Lost" a local duo.

The event is held to support local Charities and this year we were proud to present to three charities, The North West Air Ambulance, Pendleside Hospice and Airedale Child Development Centre, with cheques for £400.00 each.

The day was greatly enjoyed by all and the club would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the event.
